HINTS from the Newsletter:
-When working with large bias pieces, spray with sizing before sewing. Sizing will stabilize the stretchy edges and won't flake and build up on the iron sole plate like starch.
-The more relaxed you are when quilting, the better and more consistent your stitches will be. Try humming to give yourself a rhythm and to remind you to breathe!
-Two brown rubber doorstops placed under the back of your machine will tilt it forward enough to ease the strain on your neck. Adjust the tilt by how far you push the doorstops under the machine.

The Quilter's Homecoming by Jennifer Chiaverini

THE QUILTER'S HOMECOMINB BY JENNIFER CHIAVERINI. This is the latest book by Chiaverini about the Sugar Camp Quilt Group. It came out May 29 and as all of her books, is a delight to read. She is a must on my reading list.

recent recipe for confetti slaw

I made Rita's recipe for confetti slaw and took to a church dinner - what a hit. If you haven't tried it, do so. Even it passed the test of my husband and that's a test. Tks to Rita

Quilt Market

As we all know, Quilt Market is coming up (May 3-6)! If you plan to go, be sure to stop and say 'Hi' to Rita. She always comes back to the shop loaded to the gills with as many new fabrics, tools, toys and trinkets as she can! (She usually spaces the deliveries over some time sew her accountant/hubby doesn't have a heart attack).
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANYTHING SPECIAL THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE HER BRING BACK? Let us know! And be sure to stop in and see what Rita finds at Market!
