June 30, 2016
Hi Friends!
I. GREETING
What a week it's been for me!  We had a delightful (if quite HOT) Mystery Event last Sunday and we rocked the house!!  Lots of friends, loads of food, tons of fun! These events are a lot of work for the staff, but that allows us to be pretty organized at the kickoff of Mystery Day, and things usually run pretty well.  I spent all day Saturday cooking for the event, and a few of the other shop staff contributed as well.  I promised to share all the yummy recipes in this week's email.  I apologize for this being delayed, but I've been dealing with a dental emergency which knocked me on my toukas and took me out of commission for a few days.  I'm at least UP now, if not 'running'!  I plan to be at the always-fun Sit 'n Sew tomorrow and then catch up with myself over the 4th of July holiday.
Here are a couple pictures of the fun!!

It's still a mystery!                                 Plenty of delicious sustenance!

                                          A couple Beautiful Solutions!!

If you missed this week's event, you have another chance for a beautiful solution on Sunday, August 14 from 11 - 7!
II ~ BITS 'N PIECES
Here is a compilation of upcoming classes and events for you to consider.  I hope you can join us!!

I look sew forward to those gatherings!  We have quite a few mini  patterns and kits available now for anyone interested in working on one of them from  home.  Our next gathering will be Saturday, July 9 from 10-5.  Those in attendance can choose from any of our previous projects, complete projects they've not yet finished, or learn how to quilt some of the little projects we've done this year! It's all fun!!
    Saturday, June 11                                    10-5                                             $5

 2)  KALEIDOSCOPE QUILT POSSIBILITIES  There are loads of patterns that
feature kaleidoscope-type blocks. Techniques are similar, just the blocks are different.  I'm teaching a FREE class for anyone who would like to make one of these fascinating
quilts. The class is TONS of fun.....it's like making your own fabric! I'll help you make whichever pattern you want, in whatever  size you want!  Mark your calendar!!

to complete half-square triangle blocks, borders, binding, and complimentary label.   If
you would like me to schedule another class for this quilt, please let me know!

Due to popular request, we're now kitting Ohio University kits.  Priced as the OSU Champions, these quilts are fun and fast to do. Back them with the OU fabrics!!  Next on the kitting table are kits for the University of Kentucky.  We're waiting for a couple new bolts of UK blues to complete those kits.  Because of the size and detail of the UK applique, these kits will be a bit more expensive the the Ohio kits.  Stay tuned and I'll let you know when the kits are available!
